Mat 10:15 Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the

Mat 11:22 But I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment than for you.
Mat 11:24 But I say to you that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment than for you."
Mar 6:11 And *whoever will not receive you nor hear you, when you
depart from there, shake off the dust under your feet as a testimony
against them. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for
Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!"
Luk 10:12 But I say to you that it will be more tolerable in that Day for Sodom than for that city.
Luk 10:14 But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you.
Jesus is quoted over and over again as speaking to the Truth that Sodom
and Gomorrah are still and have been and will be under His judgment... |
LOL Sometimes reading what you say gets me laughing. There is nothing
in the references you quote where Jesus has anything to say about gays.
This relates to Jesus commissioning His followers to go to the
surrounding towns and villages and bring them the good news He was
preaching.
He's saying that if the people in these villages are inhospitable
to His messengers as they were to the visitors in Sodom, their fate
will be worse.
He's confirming the understanding that Jewish scholars had back
then, that it was inhospitality to strangers that led to Sodom's
downfall.
As I was going down the stair,
I met a man who wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today.
I wish, I wish, he'd go away.
Sorry, Lucy, no reference to gays in those verses. |

LOL I'm laughing that you suggest that the quoted passages have
anything to say about gays, when anyone was an IQ over room temperature
can see that Jesus is talking about hospitality, or the lack of it.
You see gays who aren't there, you put words in Jesus mouth He
never said and say He will do things He never did. Then you acuse me of
not telling the truth???
Perhaps you need a Red Letter edition of the Bible to keep from making these kinds of mistakes. |

Bill,
you err greatly in the belief that faith AND politics mix...they do
not. God's Kingdom has "theocratic rule" and He alone is Sovereign and
what He says goes...including His Word to us that homosexuality,
transgender and cross dressing are ALL abominable to HIM! Just because
he hasn't judged you yet doesn't mean He won't.
You and the secular world and even the church do not get to cast a
'vote' and tell God what is right! When He separates the sheep from the
goats to judge them He will judge based on HIS standard, and not the
world's and not man's and not the current popular political trend.
It's a theocracy, Bill, and God Himself and He alone rules! The same
One who said that these things are abomination is the One who is
Jehovah who reigns.
The Kingdom of God does not come in a way that man can foresee. His
ways are higher than ours and His thoughts are higher than our
thoughts.
This means that what He Himself says...goes.
And Jesus says this...
Man does not live by bread alone, but by EVERY WORD that proceeds from the mouth of God.
My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me. (John 7:16)
Also, John wrote of His Word, in 1 John,
"This is the message we have heard from Him and declare to you, that
God is Light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say we have
fellowship with Him and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice
the truth."
Also, Jude, Jesus' brother, wrote..."4
For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out
for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into
lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.
Old and New Apostates
5 But I want to remind you, though you once knew this, that the
Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward
destroyed those who did not believe. 6 And the angels who did not keep
their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in
everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day; 7
as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner
to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone
after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the
vengeance of eternal fire.
8 Likewise also these dreamers defile the flesh, reject authority, and speak evil of dignitaries.

Jesus warned us against those who mistakenly think they will be heard as a result of their mindless repetitions. |

Several regular posters here admit they Jesus had nothing negative to say about gays.
Lucy claims He did, yet provides no quote of His from the Gospels to prove it.
What is your position on the matter? |

Jesus authenticated the OT.As far as i know He said nothing about drug abuse, but we know it is wrong.
The Word, which God has given us in the Bible is inspired by His
Spirit,i really do not know what you are getting at.He said nothing to
encourage this particular sinfull lifestyle but inspired the rest which
was written on the subject. _________________ Remain a blessing dear ones .tony |

Speaking of polls, I see the latest CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll
found that 56% of respondents said they do not believe sexual
orientation can be changed. That up from 36% in 1998. Reality overcomes
prejudice, given enough time.
CNN mentioned the poll on the Paula Zahn show last night which was about gay and transgender people.
Who was that fellow whacking the pillows with the tennis racket yelling "Mommy , mommy ? Is that the way you're supposed to chase the gay away
My sweetie and I decided to try it. But all we did was upset the children.

What is your position on the matter? |
The Gospels are four documentations of Jesus and Him fulfilling OT
prophecies. Jesus fulfilled all the Mosaic laws (something we could not
do) thus, He was a spotless lamb. He also performed many miracles,
miracles that that the Leaders knew only the Messiah could perform, and
the leaders witnessing these miracles rather than “believe” He was who
He claimed to be, they attributed these works to Satan, leading Israel
into rejecting their Messiah.
The Gospels don't have instructional doctrine for the “Church” as
the Church was not yet revealed. I would challenge you to provide me
with the plan of Salvation in the Gospels, does that mean there is no
Salvation? The Good News came to us, the Gentiles, by way of "Paul" and
"Paul" speaks clearly on the sin of sodomy.
Jesus is the Author of the Old and New Testament Bill “In
the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was
God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by
him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was
life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in
darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
You are welcome to pick and choose what ever you like in
scripture, but make no mistake about this, if you believe you are going
to be covered with the Blood of Christ Jesus, you are sorely mistaken.
Those who practice or approve of that which is an abomination to God
are none of His.
“But the natural man receiveth
not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him:
neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned”. |
